Social media entrepreneurs are on the rise thanks to the increasing popularity of social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram and Facebook to name a few. These platforms may have been used to stay connected to friends and family before, but more people are now using it as a platform to make money; some even focusing their careers on social media. Wondering how you could do the same? Well, here are a few ways you can make money from social media.
Via Clicks
ClickBank is a site where you can find great products to promote. A popular alternative site would be Amazon where you can be their Amazon Associate. Simply promote products of your choice on your social media and for every purchase that is made through your link, you will earn a commission.
Via Blogs
If you create a niche content and have a steady following on your blog, you can create a product of your own such as an e-book, audio program or video tutorial to sell to your audience. Social media acts as a great platform to promote your very own product. Check out platforms like Gumroad, Sellfy and Amazon’s KDP program for easy publishing and selling of your PDF, MP3 or video files.
Via YouTube
Similarly, if you have a mass following on YouTube or want to increase viewership, join the Youtube Partner Program. Through this program, you will be making money by advertising ads from YouTube, on your channel. However, it is best to keep in mind that it takes a lot of time, effort and strategy in order to make money on YouTube. It will be a lot more difficult for a channel with less viewers to gain money from this program as opposed to if you already have a large following. Having said that, it isn’t impossible.
Via Instagram
If you are creative and diligent, selling products on Instagram may be your calling. Posting photos of your products regularly can attract a following. You can choose absolutely anything to sell on Instagram just as long as it is marketable. It is important to note that your credibility and trust has to be prominent for your audience to buy your products on a platform such as Instagram.
Via Shopping sites
Alternatively, if you would like to have your own fuss-free online store, head on over to platforms like Etsy, Big Cartel or even our own local platform Carousell. Here, you are able to sell your own art, handmade goods and secondhand products without having to worry about posting photos regularly. On top of that, these shopping platforms already have a trusted payment system, which increases the likelihood of buyers to purchase your products, worry-free.
