KUALA LUMPUR, 26 October 2026 — Lenggong is preparing to welcome 500 musicians for a large-scale performance at the MegaJamz Lenggong Music Festival 2026 on 29 November, as organisers aim to create a new record in the Asia Book of Records.

The inaugural festival will be held at Resort Tasik Raban in Lenggong, Perak, and is intended to introduce the district’s natural beauty and heritage to a wider audience through music. Organisers also hope the event will strengthen Lenggong’s position as an international tourism destination and contribute to the local economy.

Lenggong Tourism Council chairman Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah said the festival would be a highlight of the Lenggong International Dialogue 2026, which will bring together more than 500 participants from 16 countries.

He said the event would showcase Lenggong’s unique attractions to an international audience, with the hope that greater exposure would encourage more visitors to the area and generate economic opportunities for the local community.

Showcasing Lenggong’s UNESCO Heritage

Lenggong holds two UNESCO recognitions: the Archaeological Heritage of the Lenggong Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while Lenggong is also recognised as a UNESCO Global Geopark. The festival aims to highlight these attractions by combining a musical experience with the district’s natural landscape and heritage.

Dato KK Chua, Founder and Chief Adjudicator of Asia Record, said the planned gathering was an opportunity to bring people together while drawing attention to Lenggong’s cultural and tourism attractions.

“Bringing 500 musicians together for a single performance is an ambitious undertaking. It demonstrates how music can unite people around a shared goal while introducing more visitors to the beauty and heritage of Lenggong,” he said.
