KUALA LUMPUR — Asia Record has issued a clarification outlining the key milestones behind its development and official launch, following recent discussions surrounding record-recognition platforms operating under similar names in Malaysia.
According to the organisation, the history of Asia Record is supported by a series of documented milestones spanning its domain presence, publication and eventual establishment as a record-recognition platform.
The domain asiarecord.com was registered in 2004, representing an early digital milestone associated with the Asia Record name.
The organisation’s next significant milestone came in February 2025 with the publication of the inaugural Asia Record Book of Achievements. The publication was developed to document and showcase notable accomplishments by individuals, businesses, organisations and communities across the region.
Building on the publication, Asia Record was officially launched to the public on 16 October 2025, marking its development into a dedicated platform for discovering, verifying, documenting and recognising achievements across Asia.
Asia Record emphasised that a distinction should be made between the registration of a domain name, the publication of a record book and the official public launch of a record-recognition platform, as each represents a separate milestone in an organisation’s development.
The organisation also stated that discussions concerning the chronology, originality, priority or first use of similar record-recognition platforms should be supported by verifiable evidence and documented timelines.
