Acestar Sdn Bhd, an ICT Products & Services provider, has launched the fourth instalment for their SEA Connect, The Creative Conference (SEA 2019) at Nexus Connexion, Bangsar South on 13th June. The conference recorded an approximate attendance of 2000 delegates across the ASEAN region, including students, education partners, creative freelancers and creative corporate executives.
The conference features prominent speakers from the creative industry, including Bert Monroy, veteran and acclaimed artist and instructor, Adrian Teh, Director of Paskal: The Movie, Irene Lew Chai Ling, lead UI/UX designer at Fave Asia Technologies Sdn. Bhd., Karyabudi Mohamed Aris, International Marketing Manager behind the creators of Upin & Ipin, amongst several other industry leaders.
Natalie Sit, Group Chief Executive Officer of Acestar Sdn Bhd, said during her opening speech, “A CCI report released by Ernst & Young in 2015 states that the creative economy has generated a total of 29.5 million jobs worldwide. It’s four years since then, so you can imagine how much the creative economy has grown since then.”
The event was also organised in conjunction with ACA Championship Malaysia 2019, a competition that identifies and recognises the next generation of design professionals using the Adobe Suite of creative design software.
Congratulations to the grand champion, Mohammad Luqman Hakim Bin Mohd Hanapiah, from Sultan Idris Education University, who will proceed to the world championship round in New York, which will be held from 28th to 31st July this year.
