JYIN Beauty aims to open 10 branches within three years

Beauty is commonly associated with women, and the industry is rapidly evolving all around the world due to its lucrative potential. When discussing the beauty industry, various segments are involved, such as aesthetics, make-up, skincare products, and spa services, among others.

For Abby Gwee, the founder of JYIN Beauty, she defines the industry as beyond facial and massage services.

“Having been involved in the said industry since I was 18 was not easy, unlike what was assumed by most people because the beauty industry is not only about facial and massage. Aside from honing my skills as a professional beautician, I must also equip myself with knowledge about skin, as well as nutrition, cytology, traditional Chinese medicine and naturopathy.

When I first started my business, I had a simple goal in mind: I wanted to help women by providing a set of suitable skin care products. However, during my career as a professional beautician, I discovered that, in addition to physical skin problems, many women suffer from emotional issues such as stress, fatigue, depression, and so on.

“They’ve spent a lot of money but never get to the bottom of the problem. As a result, I learned that a beautician must also listen to their customers and offer words of encouragement and guidance.

“Having a balanced body and mind is extremely important for women these days. As a consequence, I decided to launch my product, JYIN Beauty 12+1 Meridians Beauty,” she recently told Entrepreneur Insight.

JYIN Beauty 12+1 Meridians Beauty provides a wide array of beauty services and treatments including 12+1 Meridian Beauty therapy, ovary care treatment, menstruation disorder relieving treatment, stomach healing treatment, stress releasing treatment, natural sleep aid treatment, oxygen facial treatment, relaxing facial treatment, hair removal treatment, burst treatment and S-Size slimming treatment.

Delving further, Abby, who is also the 100 Most Influential Young Entrepreneurs 2022, stated that her company means a lot to her because it provides a platform for women to regain their confidence and charm.

“At JYIN Beauty, our customers are free to enjoy their much-coveted me time, to release their stress and unwind. Aside from that, we provide an opportunity to those who wish to join the beauty industry by guiding them in terms of professional as well as leadership skills.

“To me, communication and teamwork are the utmost important aspects to ensure the success of a business. In three years, I planned to open up 10 more branches at various locations and to achieve this goal, I have to expand my team by hiring more talented staff as well as looking for reliable business partners.

“I also need to look into the possibility of forming business alliances and leveraging each other’s strengths,” she added.

Abby also mentioned that she considered Dr Lim, a Professor of Nutrition and a certified aromatherapist, as her business’s mentor.

“He has vast knowledge about skin, he knew all about skin symptoms, skin diseases and chemical ingredients in skincare products.

“I have learned so much from him that I can apply what I have learned to help my customers be a better version of themselves,” Abby said, adding that she hoped to establish a beauty academy to pass on her knowledge and techniques that she had mastered over the years.
