Malaysia’s first MyDroneX Expo took place today at Persiaran APEC, Cyberjaya, launched by Futurise and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). The expo brought together industry experts, stakeholders, regulators, students and drone enthusiasts to discuss, collaborate, demonstrate and compete in a variety of drone-related activities.

During his opening speech, Kajang assemblyman YB Tuan Hee Loy Sian, commented that Cyberjaya is Malaysia’s first ever drone testing zone, allowing interesting drone demonstrations to be conducted throughout the event.

“DroneTech is an industry for visionaries, forward-thinkers and disruptors. Your bold idea today, supported in the right ecosystem will one day lead to a better way to do business, build things and improve the wellbeing of many,” said YB.

MyDroneX features panel sessions with drone experts, including Susanne Schӧedel, Secretary General of Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) and Junwei Yang, World Economic Forum’s Project Lead of Drones and Tomorrow’s Airspace.
