KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Bank Berhad (“AFFINBANK” or “the Bank”) was recognised under two categories – Winner for Excellence in SME Banking and Highly Commended for Dynamic Third- Party Collaboration for its Start-Up Banking Initiative and SMEColony respectively, at the 11th Retail Banker International (“RBI”) Asia Trailblazer Awards 2020.
The 11th Retail Banker International (“RBI”) Asia Trailblazer Awards 2020 recognises the most outstanding and innovative institutions, brought together to highlight the initiatives developed by the best of the best in the retail banking industry within the region.
The recently upgraded SMEColony is a multi-award-winning mobile app that is available to download on Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei App Gallery. It is accessible to public at no cost or membership sign-up. SMEColony serves as a unique one-stop resource and reference platform tailored for SMEs to find the right solutions.
President and Group Chief Executive Officer of AFFINBANK, YBhg. Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah Bin Wan Ali, in a statement said, “These recognitions from RBI Asia Trailblazer Awards are an acknowledgement of AFFINBANK’s determination to cater for the start-ups community which is one of the most robust segments of the economy in Malaysia. AFFINBANK’s Start-Up Banking Initiative was recently awarded Start-Up Banking Initiative of the Year – Malaysia by Asian Banking & Finance (ABF) Retail Banking Awards 2020, while SMEColony received its second consecutive win in the Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2020 in September.
